Alarm & security
Want more than a remote start? We can add a full alarm to the same system.
The upgrade is typically $250 and requires a two-way remote start. That way, when the alarm goes off, you get the alert — not just the parking lot.
DroneMobile works great here too. You’ll see the notification on your phone.
What’s in the Firstech / Arctic Start upgrade?
We use Firstech’s alarm package (ALARMIT kit + DAS-II sensor). In plain English, that adds:
-
Dual-stage shock / impact sensor (warn first, then full alarm)
-
Tilt sensor (tow or wheel theft)
-
Glass-break sensor
-
Motion / accelerometer
-
105dB+ siren
-
Security LED in the dash
-
Starter kill (E-LOCK) so the vehicle won’t crank while armed
-
Door, hood, and trunk triggers are part of the system when the vehicle supports them.
Sensitivity:
We set the sensors at the shop so they protect the vehicle without crying wolf. Your environment still matters. A loud motorcycle next door, or a heavy gust of wind can trip a glass-break or shock sensor. If it gets too jumpy — or not jumpy enough — we'll fine-tune it.
Two-way remotes (or DroneMobile) are what make this worth doing. You don’t just hope the siren scared someone off. You'll know it went off.
