Diesel engines

Diesels remote start just fine — they just need a little extra patience.

Glow plugs have to heat up before the engine fires. We set a 10–15 second wait-to-start so the truck is ready when it cranks.

 

Runtime is typically set to 30/45 minutes for trucks.

Good to know:

• Newer diesels are usually straightforward.

• Some older models may need a follow-up when the temps really drop so we can fine-tune a couple of settings.
