Manual transmission
Yes — we can remote start a manual. It just works a little differently than an automatic.
Before you leave the vehicle, the system is put into reservation mode. That extra step tells the starter it is safe to remote start later.
It is built this way on purpose. A manual has a clutch and gears, so the system needs that extra confirmation before it will start unattended.
Good to know:
-
Not every manual is a fit. Year, make, and model matter.
-
Some vehicles take extra parts or a slightly different setup
-
If you need to grab something from the vehicle once the reservation mode is set, you will need to initiate the reservation mode again.
We’ll walk you through reservation mode when you pick the vehicle up so it feels simple on day one.
Send us the year, make, and model and we’ll tell you if your manual is a go.
